Gold Goes to Galic, Just Not for Long

David Goldklang raised to 17,500 from UTG before being called by the player in the next seat, as well as Dragan Galic in the BB, and left himself with only 1,000 back.

That 1,000 went in on the {K-Spades} {K-Clubs} {8-Diamonds} flop and both players called. The {5-Clubs} turn prompted Goldkland to bet in to the dry side pot for 15,000 to get it heads up. He opened {Q-Hearts} {Q-Diamonds} and was ahead of Galic's {A-Hearts} {9-Hearts}. That was until the {A-Clubs} fell on the river to triple up a delighted Galic.

That joy didn't last long though, as by the time I got back to my seat I heard the, "Winner on on 64" announcement and looked over to see Galic heading to the payout desk.
