Mortensen's Turn to Clip Ivey

Another hand has gone against Phil Ivey. He raised preflop before Carlos Mortensen reraised. Ivey called, and then called a bet on the {10-Spades}{4-Clubs}{9-Hearts} flop.

The turn brought the {Q-Clubs} and again Ivey checked and called a bet from Mortensen. The river landed the {K-Spades} and both players checked it down.

Mortensen tabled {Q-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{5-Hearts} and again Ivey has been dented by an opponent's straight, as Mortensen is now our chip leader. He has nearly 1.1 million with Ivey back to 855,000.
