Friedberg Fried

Catching the action with the board reading {4-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}, Jon Friedberg lead out for 3,800 only to be put all in by his opponent.

Friedberg made the call and tabled his {J-Clubs}{10-Hearts} for flopped trips, however it would be his opponent's {Q-Diamonds}{J-Hearts} which had a kicker that was inches ahead.

The river would see the {7-Clubs} land and Friedberg sent to the rail.

Bowker Busts Opponent

We caught the action on the river with the board reading {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{9-Spades} to find Kyle 'kwob20' Bowker faced with a 2,000-chip bet.

Bowker decided that a 10,000-chip raise was in order to effectively put his opponent all in.

His opponent obliged tabling {9-Hearts}{7-Spades} for two-pair, however it would be Bowker's {6-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for a rivered straight to take down the pot and climb to 27,600 in chips as his opponent called it a night.

Chicotsky Crumbles Then Rebuilds

Chicotsky crippled, but doesn't give up hope
Chicotsky crippled, but doesn't give up hope
David 'The Maven' Chicotsky opened the pot to 1,050 from early position, before being raised to 2,875 from an opponent in the hi-jack.

With the action back on Chicotsky he reraised to 5,075, only to have his opponent fire again; pushing for all his chips.

Chicotsky made the call for 19,225 total and the cards were tabled.

Chicotsky: {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}
Opponent: {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}

The board would run out {K-Spades}{A-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{5-Spades}{J-Spades} to see Chicotsky crippled to 900.

A few hands later he would double, and then another double to see him sit with 5,400 after his {J-Clubs}{3-Clubs} made trips against an opponent's {K-Clubs}{6-Clubs}.

No More Chopping for Chainsaw

Game over for Kessler
Game over for Kessler
A short-stacked Allen Kessler pushed his last 4,000 into the pot and found some action from an opponent in late position.

Kessler: {K-Clubs}{K-Hearts}
Opponent: {Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs}

"Queen," shouted Kessler - his wish would be granted when the flop fell down {Q-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}.

"I knew it," sparked Kesser again before the {A-Hearts} could land on the turn. When the {9-Diamonds} peeled on the river, Kessler headed to the rail.

"Oh, I even turned a flush-draw," quipped Kessler as he quickly made his way off the tournament floor.

THAY3R Back . . . to Starting Stack (Nearly)

We have finally found Thayer 'THAY3R' Rasmussen and unfortunately he had only 100 chips in front of him.

Why? The previous hand, three players flopped a flush - ace-high, Rasmussen's king-high and a queen-high one.

However, Rasmussen would more then triple the following hand to 840 when his {A-Hearts}{4-Hearts} cracked both {k-Clubs}{K-Hearts} and {4-Diamonds}{4-Spades} after he rivered an ace.

Two hands later, Rasmussen would push his stack up to 3,000 when his {A-Clubs}{10-Spades} bested {3-Hearts}{3-Spades} and {K-Spades}{Q-Clubs}.

Nyberg Can't Crack Rockets

We quickly ran over to table 45 to find three people all in. First, a short-stack had pushed all in from under the gun. That was followed by Dean 'dinhjo' Nyberg isolating for his 30,000-chip stack, which was then followed by an even shorter stack on the button also pushing all in.

Under The Gun: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}
Nyberg: {K-Clubs}{K-Spades}
Button: {A-Hearts}{A-Spades}

Unfortunately for Nyberg, the board would run out {3-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} to see the under the gun player eliminated, while the button triples to 20,000 as Nyberg slips to 19,000.

Break Time

The tournament is on a 30-minute break while the tournament staff do a color-up of all the green 25-denomination chips.
