A Costly Misread for Ming Reslock

Misreading her hand cost Ming Reslock a lot of chips.

Involved with Senovio Ramirez and Thang Luu, Reslock bet on a flop of {A-Spades}{10-Spades}{6-Hearts}. Senovio raised and everyone went to the turn, which brought the {8-Diamonds}. Senovio bet again and the river brought the {J-Diamonds}.

This time, Reslock bet and Luu raised. When all the bets were in, Senovio turned over {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{4-Spades} for top set while Luu tabled {2-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{4-Clubs} for a wheel.

Reslock showed ace jack for two pair and said she misread her hand, thinking she held king queen for broadway.

Reslock fell to 160,000 while Luu climbed to 260,000 and Senovio has 270,000.

Action Slows as the Clock Strikes 2 a.m.

Action has slowed considerably over the last level as play extends into the early morning here in the Amazon room. Many pots are being taken down with a single preflop raise and players seem to be content to ride their short stacks into Day Three.

Adam Quiggle Loses Chips

Adam Quiggle came out on the wrong end of a battle of the blinds with Alex Michaels.

Quiggle check-called Michaels on a flop of {J-Spades}{3-Spades}{2-Hearts}, and continued to check-call through the turn and river, which brought the {3-Diamonds} and {4-Diamonds}.

When Michaels showed {A-Hearts}{5-Spades}{10-Clubs}{8-Hearts}for a wheel, Quiggle threw his hand in the muck. He now has 117,000 chips while Michaels has 230,000.

Thang Luu Scoops

Morten Holm raised preflop and got reraised by Thang Luu. After making the call, the players saw a flop of {6-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{2-Spades}. Luu led out and Holm called. Luu led again on the turn, which brought the {7-Diamonds} and the river, which brought the {10-Clubs}.

Holm mucked his hand when Luu turned over pocket aces for top set and {4-?}{5-?} for the low.
