Layne Flack Eliminated in 44th Place ($5,651)

We caught this hand in progress.

Layne Flack got all his chips in the middle on a board of jack-4-2-3 with two hearts. Flack was holding ace-3-jack-queen double suited for both a nut flush and a nut low draw, but failed to improve against Andreas Foulias who held ace-5-x-x for a wheel.

Flack took home $5,651 for his play

Sebastian Ruthenberg Keeps Rolling On

In another big hand, Sebastian Ruthenberg took down a nice pot in a three-way hand with Alex Michaels and Jim Geary.

On a board of {4-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}, Geary folded to Ruthenberg's bet, and Michaels went to the river where he called another bet after the {7-Spades} fell.

Michaels mucked his hand after Ruthenberg showed {A-Clubs}{2-Spades}{5-Clubs}{J-Clubs} to scoop the pot.

With that pot, Ruthenberg now has 260,000 chips

Big Stacks in Control

The play has been nice and steady since hitting the money. The bigger stacks at each table seem to be driving the action and winning most of their confrontations with the shorter stacks to send them to the rail. We're down to under 40 players left in the field and there's a bust out every couple of minutes.

Another reason things are going this way is that all the big stacks are spread out around the tournament room, so they can't really bother one another.
