Needed Chips for Baron

Isaac Baron opened for pot (70,000) from middle position and was called by Richard Austin on the button. Baron had only 75,000 chips behind his raise and put them all up for grabs on a flop of {K-Clubs} {5-Clubs} {4-Clubs}. Austin decided to pass, dropping his count to 227,000. Baron now has 245,000.

Isaac Baron Eliminated in 10th Place ($32,330)

Isaac Baron - 10th Place
Isaac Baron - 10th Place
Isaac Baron's reprieve was short-lived. Just a few hands after moving all in, Baron was at it again. He opened for 70,000, then called all in after Richard Austin re-raised pot to 240,000. Austin showed {K-Diamonds} {K-Spades} {9-Clubs} {6-Spades}; Baron tabled {A-Diamonds} {J-Hearts} {10-Diamonds} {8-Hearts}.

The {K-Hearts} {Q-Spades} {4-Hearts} flop brought lots of excitement, as it made a set of kings for Austin and a combination flush and wrap draw for Baron. Baron needed any ace, any jack, any ten, any nine or any heart to take the lead in the hand. He missed with the {8-Diamonds} turn and was eliminated when the {Q-Clubs} on the river paired the board.

With the stacks counted down, Austin had Baron covered by just 17,000. As a result, Baron is out in 10th place with $32,330 in prize money.

Palevic took the pot down with a bet of 258,000.

Up Up and Away for Austin

Richard Austin continues to chip up in impressive fashion. He was part of a four-way limped flop that came down {A-Clubs} {3-Spades} {Q-Hearts}. Two checks from the blinds prompted Van Marcus to bet 55,000. Only Austin called.

Marcus checked the {J-Hearts} turn over to Austin. Austin deliberated for thirty seconds before pushing out a bet of 175,000. Marcus decided to look for a better spot and folded.
