Roux Doubles

Anthony Roux opened to 40,000 from middle position before Pat Atchison made the call. With the action on Steven Tabb in the big blind, he bumped it to 150,000.

Roux moved all in, Atchison passed, and after nearly three minutes of deliberation Tabb made the call.

The board ran out {3-Spades}{J-Hearts}{4-Spades}{10-Clubs}{6-Hearts} to see Roux double through to 760,000 in chips.

Action folded to Johnny Neckar who raised all in from the small blind. Adam White made the call from the big blind and was ahead with {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} vs. Neckar's {A-Spades}{3-Diamonds}.

The flop of {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} kept White in the lead as did the {9-Clubs} on the turn. The river was cruel though, bringing the {Q-Spades} and counterfeiting White's hand. He left in 15th place with $30,016.

He left in 17th place with $21,008 while Smith has taken the chip lead with 1.6 million.

Atchison Off to a Fast Start

Ken Lennaard raised to 36,000 from middle position and got called by Pat Atchison and Laurence Grondin from the big blind.

Action checked to Atchison who bet 70,000 on a flop of {K-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}. Grondin check-raised an additional 105,000, pushing Lennaard out. Atchison called and both players checked down the rest of the board which came {5-Spades}{6-Spades}.

When Atchison showed {K-Spades}{J-Hearts}, Grondin mucked.
