Cash Cowley

Back up to a decisive chip lead for Marc Naalden after he raised from the button and called the reraise from Cowley.

Cowley bet out on the {9-Clubs} {K-Hearts} {Q-Clubs} flop and Naalden flatted, but when Cowley bet out again on the {4-Diamonds} turn, Naalden raised. A call from Cowley, but he opted to check the {6-Spades} river -- and then fold to a bet from Naalden.

Since then Naalden has gently whittled away at Cowley's stack, causing Cowley to drop another 100,000 or so. The current chip counts are somewhere in the region of 1.9 million for Naalden, 700,000 for Cowley.

Re-Cow-Very

Wow, this is exciting. Cowley's clawed back a few chips after calling Naalden's preflop raise and then checking the {5-Hearts} {Q-Hearts} {Q-Diamonds} flop, then betting out on the {4-Clubs} turn and {9-Spades} river. Naalden called, but mucked to Cowley's trip-tastic {Q-Clubs} {6-Hearts}. Cowley's grossly outnumbered railers applauded very loudly, as if trying to make up for their small numbers and relative sobriety.

Up and Down

...And a few more chips for Cowley, as he rivered a ten to go with his {K-Spades} {10-Hearts} and found himself newly ahead of Naalden to take the pot.

Board: {5-Hearts} {6-Spades} {A-Hearts} {7-Hearts} {10-Clubs}

Naalden flashed him the {7-Clubs}.

Even Stevens

Our heads-upsers
Wow, and now they're even again.

Marc Naalden raised his button and Steven Cowley called.

Cowley bet out on the {2-Spades} {10-Diamonds} {2-Diamonds} flop and Naalden called; he bet out again on the {K-Diamonds} turn and this time Naalden raised. Cowley re-popped, and Naalden called to see a {K-Hearts} river. Both players checked, and Cowley turned over {J-Clubs} {2-Clubs} for a full house. Naalden mucked, and the counts now stand at Naalden 1.5 million, while Cowley is only just behind on 1.2 million.

Cowley Trips Up as Naalden Trips Up

Steven Cowley has got very close on a number of occasions now, but he's been unable to sneak into the lead at any point and he's now back down to 700,000.

Naalden raised his button and Cowley called. A raising war exploded on the {2-Diamonds} {10-Hearts} {8-Diamonds} flop but cooled come the {4-Diamonds} turn, on which Cowley bet out and Naalden just flatted. Cowley bet out again on the {8-Hearts} river and called a riase from Naalden, but mucked when Naalden oturned over {3-Spades} {8-Spades} for trips.

Naalden takes the pot and is back up to 1.9 million. The railers have started cheering again.

Back to Even - Or Are They?

Cowley raised the button and then called the reraise from Naalden. Naalden bet out on the {3-Diamonds} {6-Hearts} {J-Clubs} flop and check-called on the {Q-Hearts} turn. He check-called again on the {4-Hearts} river -- and mucked when Cowley tabled {4-Diamonds} {6-Diamonds} for two pair.

Cowley's won another hand since then, and it looks as though he has, for the first time, got himself the chip lead.

Naalden Back in the Lead

He must have missed being chip leader, after being that way since yesterday evening -- Naalden seems to have snuck the chip lead back after pushing Cowley off a pot with a raise on the river of the {9-Diamonds} {10-Hearts} {Q-Hearts} {6-Clubs} {6-Spades} board.
