Steve Mohs Eliminated

Steve Mohs
Steve Mohs
First into the pot, Steve Mohs moved all in for about 110,000. Big stack Shawn Glines was in the big blind, and he made the call with {10-Spades}{5-Diamonds}. Mohs was in the lead with {A-Clubs} {9-Spades}.

The board would be unfavorable for the at-risk player, coming {Q-Hearts} {10-Diamonds} {3-Spades} {6-Hearts} {3-Diamonds}. With his tens up, Shawn Glines has taken out Mohs in 25th place.

Lutes Stays Alive, Nearly Triples

Chairud Vangchailued opened with an under-the-gun raise. Nam Le reraised to 60,000 from the button, and Richard Lutes moved all in for 120,000 from the small blind. When it came back to Vangchailued, he too moved all in, enough to get Le out of the pot.

Showdown
Vangchailued: {A-Hearts} {8-Hearts}
Lutes: {K-Spades} {Q-Diamonds}

The flop would pair both player, but Lutes grabbed the lead as it came {8-Spades} {2-Diamonds} {K-Diamonds}. The {10-Hearts} and {3-Hearts} filled out the board, and we have another double up (and then some). Lutes is now on 320,000.

More Doubling

Jonathan Markham opened with an early position raise to 36,000. Action passed around to Joe Bartholdi, and he put in a reraise to 100,000. Markham moved all in, and Bartholdi slumped down in his chair. He asked for a count, and as the dealer was cutting down the chips, Bartholdi smirked and said, "This is gonna be ugly." The total count for Markham was 240,000, and Bartholdi did indeed make the call.

Markham tabled {K-Diamonds} {K-Spades}, very far ahead of Bartholdi's {9-Diamonds} {2-Hearts}.

The flop brought a nine, but the rest of the board ran out bare: {7-Diamonds} {5-Hearts} {9-Spades} {Q-Spades} {A-Diamonds}. With a big clap of his hand and a loud, "Yes!" Markham has doubled up to a half-million chips.

Derke Doubles Too

Wei Mu raised to 55,000 from the button, and Nicholas Derke moved all in for 174,000 from the big blind. Mu thought it over for a good while before making the call.

"You got a pair?" asked Derke, showing down his {A-Diamonds} {10-Diamonds}. "No pair," came the response, as Wu tabled {Q-Spades}{J-Hearts}.

The dealer ran the board {5-Clubs} {3-Spades} {A-Spades} {2-Spades} {9-Clubs}. With his pair of aces, Derke picks up a double of his own, sitting now with just about 360,000.

Glines Doubles Back

The play is excruciatingly slow to start off the day, with very few big pots being played.

We did have one big battle just fought at Table 151 though. Joe Bartholdi raised it up from the cutoff seat, and Shawn Glines three-bet from the small blind. Bartholdi shoved, and Glines called all in for 555,000 total.

Showdown
Bartholdi: {8-?} {8-?}
Glines: {A-Spades} {K-Clubs}

The board ran {A-Diamonds} {3-Diamonds} {10-Clubs} {A-Hearts} {2-Diamonds}, giving Glines the winning trips and doubling him up over 1.1 million.
