Kang Doing More Than Just Hanging On

Benjamin Kang
Benjamin Kang
Lucas Priour opened the pot to 18,500 from the button. The small blind ducked out, but Benjamin Kang came along from the big.

The flop rolled out {A-Diamonds} {7-Clubs} {9-Diamonds}, and Kang moved all in for 79,500. Priour made the call, tabling {9-Hearts} {3-Clubs} for a paltry pair of nines. Kang was ahead with {A-Spades} {2-Spades}. The {7-Diamonds} on the turn was a good card for the short stack, blocking Priour's two pair outs. The {K-Diamonds} was a blank on the river, and Kang has earned another nice pot.

He's still climbing, just nudging 200,000 chips now.
