Greenstein Dodges Bullets, Twice!

Van Marcus opened with a pot-sized raise from the cutoff and Barry Greenstein flat-called on the button. The action folded to Chau Giang in the big blind who moved all in for around 100,000. Marcus then re-raised all in himself as Greenstein looked down at his cards and tossed {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{J-Diamonds} into the muck.

Giang showed {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{4-Clubs} as Marcus was irate, not only that Giang tabled aces but Greenstein had folded kings, as Marcus revealed {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{K-Spades}{9-Clubs}.

"How do you not three-bet there?" Marcus quizzed of Greenstein who replied that he didn't raise because he didn't have any suited cards.

The board bricked out {3-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{5-Spades}{8-Diamonds} and they chop it up!

A Little Action

There hasn't been much action to report lately as the players look to sneak into the money. The most significant action recently came when Matt Graham decided to fire 52,000 at a flop of {5-Spades}{3-Clubs}{9-Hearts}.

He found two callers in Henri Kettunen and Stefan Mattsson as we moved a little closer to the table in anticipation of a big pot.

The turn brought the {Q-Diamonds} and Graham fired again, this time for 127,000. However both opponents gave up the fight and released.

"Whew!" laughed Graham in jest, before commenting, "Nah I had the best hand." We'll never know, but he's up to 460,000 chips.

Schwartz Sends Arieh Into the Tank

"What Should I Do?"
"What Should I Do?"
Five players limped in and saw a flop of {K-Clubs} {Q-Spades} {8-Diamonds} . The blinds checked and Josh Arieh bet 30,000 from middle position. Vitaly Lunkin folded from the cutoff and Noah Schwartz raised to 125,000 from the button. The blinds got out of the way and Arieh called.

The turn brought the {5-Spades} . With almost 300,000 already in, Josh Arieh checked and Schwartz makes a pot sized bet.

Arieh stood from the table. Agonizing over the decision he said "Oh my gosh. I should have just mucked this hand in the beginning."

He continued to tank for what seemed to be over five minutes. Finally, he mucks his hand.

Josh Arieh - 230,000
Noah Schwartz - 815,000

Edward Ochana Eliminated

After a flop of {A-Spades} {10-Spades} {3-Clubs} Edward Ochana check-called a pot sized bet from Noah Schwartz.

The turn brought the {4-Clubs} and again Ochana checked. Schwartz bet enough to put Ochana all in and he made the call.

Ochana: {A-Diamonds} {Q-Spades} {J-Clubs} {10-Diamonds} (top two pair)
Schwartz: {A-Clubs} {A-Diamonds} {8-Diamonds} {6-Hearts} (set of aces)

The river was a blank in the {9-Diamonds} eliminating Ochana from the tournament. With the extra chips, Schwartz becomes the first million dollar man of this tournament with 1,080,000.

Schmejkal Has Nothing

After Ernst Schmejkal raised to 23,000, Jonas Entin defended from the small blind with a call.

The flop of {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}{Q-Hearts} was checked by both players before the {7-Clubs} hit the turn. Entin checked, Schmejkal bet 25,000 and Entin called.

The river was the {6-Clubs} and again Entin checked, Schmejkal bet 65,000 and Entin made the call.

"I've got nothing," said Schmejkal and revealed {10-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{6-Spades}{4-Hearts} and Entin took it down with {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{8-Spades}.

Entin moved up to 330,000 while Schmejkal was left on the short stack and eliminated a few moments later.

Hand For Hand

With the elimination of Ernst Schmejkal in 29th place, the tournament is now being played hand for hand. It will continue until the next elimination, when the money is reached.

* Nam Le is still in the tournament, despite only playing a few hands the whole day. With 50,000 in front of his empty seat, the question becomes, will he be able to sneak into the money???

Nam Le Bubbles

Nam Le Bubbles
Nam Le Bubbles
Well Nam Le has entertained us with his multi-tabling skills today and probably got in some good exercise running between events, but unfortunately it's all been for nothing in this event as he's just become our bubble boy.

After Stefan Mattsson opened with a raise to 25,000, Nam Le (who had returned to the table) committed his last chips from the big blind.

Le was short and had to gamble with his {K-Spades}{10-Spades}{9-Spades}{6-Clubs} but he found he'd run into Mattsson's {A-Hearts}{A-Spades}{8-Clubs}{4-Clubs}.

The board fell {J-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{7-Hearts}{10-Clubs} and Mattsson's aces hold to eliminate Le from the tournament. Le quickly grabbed his bag and scurried back to the $1,500 No Limit Hold'em event, as the remaining 27 players redraw for the final three tables.
