Lunkin Wraps Up Nice Pot

Vitaly Lunkin
Vitaly Lunkin
Vitaly Lunkin started the madness with a raise to 13,000 from the cutoff. Ferit Gabriellson called on the button before [Removed:14] potted to 58,000 from the big blind. Lunkin called and Gabriellson did the math and tossed in calling chips.

The huge pot was up for grabs and Harroch decided he wanted it by moving all in for 78,500 on the {8-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} flop. Lunkin made a quick call for his last 76,500 sending Gabriellson into the tank.

"Shiiiiiiit!" groaned Gabriellson who had clearly whiffed on the flop but could smell all the chips that were in the middle. He eventually released and the two players tabled their cards.

Harroch: {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{2-Clubs}
Lunkin: {9-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{J-Spades}{5-Hearts}

Harroch had the big guns but Lunkin had some cards to catch to improve with his straight wrap.

The turn hit Lunkin between the eyes when it fell the {6-Spades} for the straight, before the {3-Spades} bricked on the river.

Lunkin more than doubles to 340,000 with Harroch down to two chips and a chair.

Gabriellson Flushes Varsi

Hans Varsi is not a happy boy right now. He's just been busted from the tournament by the giant-killing Ferit Gabriellson.

The action started with Nathan Doudney who limped in from middle position. Gabriellson completed in the small blind and Varsi checked in the big blind.

The flop fell {4-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} and Gabriellson checked to Varsi who tossed out 15,000. Doudney folded and Gabriellson called.

The turn was where things got interesting as Gabriellson led out with a bet of 40,000 when then {6-Diamonds} fell. Varsi announced "pot" and added another 140,000 to the middle, leaving himself just 20,000 behind.

Gabriellson thought for a few minutes before announcing he was all in. Varsi quickly called.

Gabriellson: {3-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{7-Clubs}
Varsi: {3-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{7-Hearts}

Varsi tabled the straight with a baby diamond flush draw, while Gabriellson held top pair, a small heart flush draw and a double gutshot straight draw.

With just one card to come, the {Q-Hearts} landed like a dagger through the heart for Varsi, completing the flush for Gabriellson and eliminating Varsi from the tournament.

Gabriellson is up to a massive 915,000 chips and a clear chip lead.

Ilari Sahamies Eliminated

Julian Powell Eliminated

Stefan Mattsson raised to 13,000 from under the gun and Piergiorgio D'Ancona called from middle position. Julian Powell reraised to 59,500 from the cutoff and Mattsson called. D'Ancona got out of the way.

The flop came {K-Clubs} {J-Spades} {6-Spades} . Mattson bet pot and Powell moved all in for his last few chips. Mattsson called and showed {J-Hearts} {10-Spades} {8-Clubs} {7-Spades}. He was up against {A-?} {A-?} {4-?} {2-?} with two spades for Powell.

The board filled out {K-Clubs} {J-Spades} {6-Spades} {9-Clubs} {7-Clubs} giving Mattsson runner-runner straight to eliminate Powell.

Mattsson is now at 500,000.
