Three Small Ones

Stud-8

Not a lot of action in the three Stud-8 hands since the dinner break.

In the first hand, David Bach completed and took down the antes, while Erik Sagstrom collected the last two pots with bets on fourth street.

Ville Wahlbeck had the bring-in, John Hanson completed, David Bach called, and Wahlbeck called. Hanson led out on fourth street, Bach making the call and Wahlbeck folding. Hanson led again on fifth and Bach called. Bach check-called a bet on sixth, them check-raised the river. Hanson called.

Hanson showed {10-Diamonds} {3-Hearts} {4-Clubs} for a 6-4-3-2-A low while Bach took the high with {8-Clubs} {J-Clubs} {9-Hearts} in the hole for eights full of jacks.

First Hold'em Pot to Sagstrom

Back to Hold'em and Vitaly Lunkin opened the action with a raise from the cutoff. Erik Sagstrom made the call in the big blind.

They saw a flop of {J-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds} and Sagstrom checked over to Lunkin, who fired a bet. Sagstrom made the call.

The turn brought the {9-Diamonds} and both players checked.

The river was the {J-Spades} and Sagstrom quickly fired out a bet of 160,000. Lunkin slowed the pace down and deliberated for a minute or two before eventually releasing. Sagstrom takes it down.

Rockets for Huck

Huck Seed raised it up from the under the gun with Erik Sagstrom and John Hanson defending in the blinds.

The flop landed {10-Clubs}{5-Spades}{Q-Clubs} and action checked to Seed, who fired a bet. Sagstrom folded and Hanson called.

The {K-Clubs} on the turn was checked through and the {Q-Spades} hit the river. Hanson fired a bet and Seed made a quick call.

Sagstrom tabled {J-Spades}{10-Spades}, but Seed took it down with {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}.

Are You Huckin' Nuts?

A gregarious gentleman has just taken a front-row seat in the bleachers. He's supporting Huck Seed and even came with a homemade sign... reading "Are You Huckin' Nuts?"

Just as Seed took down that pot with aces, he gave the crowd a yell with his slogan.

Lunkin Gets a Fold

John Hanson raised from the button, Vitaly Lunkin three-bet from the big blind and Hanson called.

Lunkin led out for a bet on the {Q-Diamonds} {7-Diamonds} {3-Clubs} flop and Hanson called. Lunkin fired another bullet when the turn came the {2-Spades}, but Hanson gave up his hand, conceding the pot to the chip leader.

Wahlbeck Making Moves

Huck Seed opened the action with a raise and Ville Wahlbeck called in the big blind.

The flop fell {9-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{A-Diamonds} and Wahlbeck checked it over to Seed, who fired a bet. Wahlbeck then put in the check-raise but Seed quickly made it three bets to go with another reraise. Just as quickly, Wahlbeck gave it up and Seed collects another pot.

Vitaly Lunkin raised and Erik Sagstrom called from the big blind.

The flop came down {Q-Diamonds} {7-Diamonds} {3-Clubs}. Sagstrom checked to Lunkin, who bet. Sagstrom called, and both players checked the {6-Clubs} on the turn. The river was the {10-Hearts} and Sagstrom checked. Lunkin bet and after a bit of a tank, Sagstrom folded.

Wahlbeck Survives with Hold'em Chop

The action folded to Ville Wahlbeck, who raised from the button. John Hanson three-bet from the big blind. After some confusion with the bet amounts Wahlbeck four-bet, Hanson capped the action and Wahlbeck called all in for his last chips.

The flop was {K-Spades} {6-Diamonds} {2-Clubs}. Hanson checked, Sagstrom bet and Hanson called. Hanson checked again on the turn, which came the {5-Hearts}. Sagstrom bet, Hanson raised, and Sagstrom gave up his hand, conceding the pot to Hanson.
