Wahlbeck Survives Again with Chop

Omaha-8

Ville Wahlbeck opened the action with a raise and Vitaly Lunkin made the call in the big blind.

They saw a flop of {Q-Hearts}{3-Spades}{A-Spades} and Lunkin checked to Wahlbeck, who followed up with a bet. Lunkin made the call.

The turn brought the {5-Hearts} and Lunkin checked. Again Walhbeck fired a bet, but this time Lunkin put in the check-raise. Wahlbeck called all in for his remaining chips to once again have his tournament life on the line.

Lunkin: {6-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{5-Spades}{K-Spades}
Wahlbeck: {A-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{10-Spades}

Lunkin was freerolling with the low and flush draw, but Wahlbeck held on with his two pair when the river bricked the {9-Clubs}. They chop it up and Wahlbeck survives!

Omaha-8

Ville Wahlbeck raised and David Bach called from the big blind.

Bach checked the {J-Spades} {4-Hearts} {3-Spades} flop and Wahlbeck bet. Bach came in with a raise and Wahlbeck called. The turn was the {K-Diamonds}. Bach led out and Wahlbeck called all in for 135,000.

Wahlbeck {7-Diamonds} {5-Clubs} {3-Diamonds} {2-Clubs}
Bach {A-Spades} {J-Clubs} {4-Diamonds} {3-Hearts}

Bach had two pair, jacks and fours while Wahlbeck had an open-ended straight draw and a low draw. The {4-Spades} on the river couldn't help him, though, and Bach scooped the pot with a full house, sending Wahlbeck to the rail in sixth place.

Seed Keeps It Friendly

Omaha-8

Huck Seed came in for a raise and Erik Sagstrom made the call out of the big blind.

The two players checked down a board of {4-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} and Seed showed {K-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{3-Spades}{K-Spades} for the best hand to collect the pot.

Huck Seed limped in from under the gun before David Bach raised it up from the button. John Hanson called in the big blind and Seed came along for the ride.

The flop came down {J-Spades}{4-Hearts}{7-Hearts} and play checked to Bach, who fired a bet. Hanson then check-raised, before Seed put in another raise to make it three bets to go. After a moment of thought Bach called, as did Hanson.

The turn brought the {10-Diamonds} and again the play checked to the preflop aggressor Bach, who fired a bet. Both Hanson and Seed weren't done just yet and they made the call.

Again play checked to Bach when the {J-Diamonds} hit the river. He tossed out another 160,000 into the pot. Hanson sat back in his chair and pondered his decision before tossing out calling chips. Seed folded and Bach tabled {J-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{2-Spades} for a full house, jacks full of fours, to scoop the monster pot.

Razz

Lunkin: (X-X) {K-?}{2-?}{A-?}{8-?} (X)
Seed: (X-X) {4-?}{8-?}{2-?}{3-?} (X)

Vitaly Lunkin was the bring in and he called with a wry grin after Huck Seed completed as the last person to act.

Seed led with a bet on fourth, before check-calling on fifth. Both players checked sixth, before Seed tossed out a bet on the river.

Lunkin thought for a moment with a little hesitation before making the call.

Seed knew he was beat and reluctantly tabled ({6-?}{J-?}{4-?}) for an eight-low, but Lunkin revealed ({7-?}{5-?}{3-?}) for a seventy-five low to rake in the pot, and leave Seed on the short stack.
