Sheirbon Ships a Double

Under the gun, Alex Jacob made it 25,000 to play, and Terry Fleischer made the call in the hijack seat. From the big blind, Brent Sheirbon reraised all in for 148,000. Next door in the big blind, Jason Helder wasn't going anywhere either. He asked for a count on Fleischer before moving all in himself. Jacob and Fleischer had enough of the raising and ducked out of the way.

Showdown
Sheirbon: {A-Diamonds} {K-Diamonds}
Helder: {A-Clubs} {Q-Clubs}

The board held Shierbon as it came {3-Hearts} {5-Spades} {6-Hearts} {K-Spades} {2-Spades}. With his pair of kings, Sheirbon has earned a big double up and then some. He's up to 365,000 now, dropping Helder down to 705,000.

Helder Sliding Backwards

On the next hand at Jason Helder's table, he was once again involved in some double-up action. It started when a player in middle position open-shoved all in for 92,000. Helder was on the button, and he made the call, aiming for a knockout with his {A-Diamonds} {2-Clubs}. His opponent though was in good shape for the double with {8-Hearts} {8-Spades}.

The board smiled on his aspirations of doubling up as it came {7-Clubs} {4-Hearts} {8-Clubs} {Q-Spades} {5-Spades}. The set of eights is good, and Helder has taken another step back to 615,000.

Bad Beat for Jeffery Vanchiro

Jeffery Vanchiro raised to 25,000 from under the gun and action folded around to the big blind who moved all in for 101,000.

Vanchiro tanked for several minutes until a player at the table called for the clock. Shortly after Vanchiro made the call.

Big blind: {A-Diamonds} {6-Spades}
Vanchiro: {A-Spades} {J-Spades}

The board ran out {A-Hearts} {8-Spades} {2-Clubs} {6-Clubs} {3-Hearts} giving the big blind two pair on the turn to double up. Vanchiro drops to 268,000.

Alex Jacob's Turn for a Bad Beat

Alex Jacob
Alex Jacob
Alex Jacob opened the pot for a 25,000 raise and a player behind moved all in for 173,000. Action folds back around to Alex Jacob who makes the call.

Jacob: {K-Spades} {K-Clubs}
Opponent: {A-Spades} {K-Diamonds}

The board ran out {A-Clubs} {7-Clubs} {7-Spades} {Q-Spades} {10-Spades} pairing the ace of Jacob's opponent.

After the hand, Alex Jacob is down to 180,000.

Sheirbon Slips Up

Facing a raise in front of him, Brent Sheirbon moved all in for about 360,000. His opponent called all in for 187,000, putting his own tournament life in jeopardy and giving Sheirbon a little rebate.

Showdown
Sheirbon: {A-Diamonds} {K-Diamonds}
Opponent: {K-Clubs} {K-Hearts}

Sheirbon couldn't find any help on the board of {8-Spades} {7-Diamonds} {4-Diamonds} {Q-Hearts} {5-Clubs}. He's doubled up his opponent, losing about half of his stack in the process. He's back down to 177,000 at the moment, but still quite dangerous.
