Putting His Chips to Good Use

Jason Helder limped into the pot, and Owen Crowe raised it up to 17,000 straight. Helder called, and the flop came out {3-Spades} {8-Spades} {Q-Hearts}. Helder checked, then called a bet of 18,500 from his opponent.

The turn card was the {4-Spades}. Helder passed again, and this time Crowe fired out a healthy 45,000-chip bet. Without wasting much time, Helder moved all in with his big covering stack. Crowe had about 85,000 behind his bet, and he elected to fold and save those chips for a better spot.

Helder is trying to lap the field, sitting now on 545,000.
