Trips Are Good for Outram

Julien Legros made it 2,800 to go from middle position and Stephen Outram came along.

Legros checked a flop of {9-Hearts}{K-Spades}{8-Clubs} and Outram led for 3,900. Legros thought for a few seconds before check-raising an additional 5,500, and Outram then thought before calling.

Both players checked the {J-Hearts} on the turn and {10-Hearts} on the river before Outram turned over {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} for trips. Legros showed the {K-Hearts} and mucked. The hand boosted Outram's stack to more than 76,000.

A Dramatic Time For Hamrick

Thai Tran opened with a raise to 4,200 from early position, and once it had folded round to Dean Hamrick in the small blind, he made it 12,400 total.

Tran, looking visibly distressed, looked up from under his hoodie and asked for a count. Hamrick pulled his hands back so as Tran could have a good look before covering his stack back.

Tran sank back under his hood for a futher two minutes before pushing all in. Hamrick called and tabled {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} only to be matched by Tran's {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}.

"All that drama for nothing" commented Hamrick as he saw the board run out {5-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{7-Spades}{5-Spades} to see both players chop the pot up.

Cloud Nine for Perry

In a four way limped pot, everybody checked a flop of {5-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}. When Lauren Kling bet 3,700 on the {9-Clubs} on the turn, she got rid of half the competition, and got called by Perry.

The {Q-Hearts} on the river brought two more checks before Perry tabled his {7-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} for top pair and gut-shot straight flush draw. Kling mucked as Perry scooped up the chips.

Bui Exits

Only an orbit after getting crippled Lily Bui pushed her last 5,500 into the middle.

Jerry Skelton made the call, as did Thomas Fuller to see the {5-Clubs}{7-Spades}{4-Clubs}{3-Spades}{4-Spades} board checked down.

Skelton tabled {A-Spades}{Q-Spades} and both players mucked, while Bui stood up to exit the tournament floor.

Ausmus Outta Here

Jeremy Ausmus has been sent packing when his {A-Spades}{K-Spades} were unable to outdraw Christopher Meinertsen's {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts}.

The board ran out {J-Hearts}{4-Spades}{6-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} to see Ausmus on the rail and Meinertsen up to 55,000 in chips.

Bui Bullied By Mortensen

Lily Bui has been crippled by 2001 WSOP Main Event champion Carlos Mortensen.

With all the money going in on the turn, it would be Bui's {8-Clubs}{8-Spades} against Mortensen's {K-Hearts}{9-Hearts} when the eventual board ran out {6-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}.

As Mortensen doubled through to 49,000, Bui slipped to 6,5000 in chips.

Lee Risks it All

On a flop of {6-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}, Richard Lee pushed all in for his last 16,100 and sent Jonathan Dull deep into the tank.

Dull aggravated over his decision for nearly three minutes before reluctantly mucking his hand and saving the remainder of his short stack. Lee climbed to nearly 30,000 after the pot.

Cohen Calls Heads, Flips Tails

Joe Morneau in action

Jamie Cohen opened to 2,800 from the hijack before Joe Morneau made it 6,800 to go.

Cohen then pushed it to 8,000 more before Morneau moved all in to put Cohen to a decision for his tournament life.

After nearly three minutes in the tank, Cohen made the call to see the cards tabled.

Cohen: {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}
Morneau: {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}

The board ran out {A-Spades}{4-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{9-Spades}{8-Spades} to see Cohen hit the rail as Morneau soars to 175,000 in chips.
