Phillips Eliminated As Boeree Near Triples

Our PokerNews reporter walked over to see that Dennis Phillips and his once occupied seat was now . . . empty.

Looking round at the table it was apparent that Liv Boeree had chipped up and consequently our reporter asked her of what had happened to Phillips.

Boeree explained that she opened under the gun with {Q-}{Q-} and was reraised next to speak by a player holding {K-}{K-}. With the action on Phillips, he moved all in for not much more also holding {K-}{K-}. Once it was back on Boeree she shipped it all in over the top to find a call to see both her and Phillips at risk.

Just one Queen on the flop would be all Boeree needed, and as she finished explaining the hand she commented, "poker is an easy game, just get it in bad and you win"

If you think Liv Boeree can only knock out her opponents on the felt - you should be sure to check out her moves in the ring.

Coming up in a few short days, Boeree will be taking on PokerNews TV Host Melissa Castello in a girl-on-girl boxing match not to be missed!
