Cloutier Lamentation

TJ Cloutier has been spotted wandering around around the Amazon floor chatting to Humberto Brenes and John Cernuto and wishing them good luck.

Cloutier was one of the players who didn't play due to the Day 1D sellout.

Tough Table

Walking around the Brasilia Room, one table in particular stood out as having the toughest lineup. Here's a look:

Table 178
Seat 2: Jean-Robert Bellande - 51,950
Seat 4: Gabriel Thaler - 29,425
Seat 7: Tommy Vedes - 102,625
Seat 9: Jason Stern - 50,750

* Ryan Daut has also been moved to the table.

Juanda Bluffed Early

John Juanda has taken an early hit after being bluffed off a pot on the river. The board read {K-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{5-Clubs} and Juanda was facing a 12,200 bet from his opponent.

Juanda gave it up and his opponent flashed {10-Hearts}{9-Spades} for the air ball! Juanda slips to 34,000.

A Hairy Situation

Kevin "BeL0WaB0Ve" Saul is here, sporting an 87,000-chip stack and an interesting hair style. Sort of a rooster comb effect, with the hair sticking straight up down the middle.

"If that's what it takes, I'm getting your hairdo next year," said T.J. Cloutier as he passed through the tables. Cloutier could be referring to Saul's good Main Event start, or perhaps to his having a seat at all. As we know, Cloutier was one of several who was unable to get a seat at this year's Main Event after Day 1d sold out.

"Good luck, fellas," added the six-time WSOP bracelet winner as he moved along.

Do You Know What You're Doing?

Catching the action on the flop of {A-Clubs}{10-Spades}{5-Clubs} Eric Hock checked to Fabio Pilato, who fired 2,500 at the pot.

Hock then put in a reraise to 7,000 with Pilato quickly making the call.

"I'm all in!" stated Hock before the dealer had even dragged the chips, let alone burn and turn.

The turn would be dealt, and the dealer would drop the {7-Clubs} with Pilato calling for is tournament life.

"You hit the flush didn't you?" asked Hock as he tabled his {A-Hearts}{10-Hearts}.

Pilato would shake his head left and right before turning over his {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} for a turned set.

"Are you kidding me! What . . . you don't think I have a hand when I check-raise you on the flop?" fumed Hock.

The river dropped the insignificant {K-Spades} to see Pilato double up as Hock continued to rant on.

"Do you even know what you're doing buddy?" asked Hock once again.

"I don't know if you know what you're doing, but I know what I'm doing" muttered Pilato in broken english, as he dragged the pot.

Suharto Chips Up

Main event finalist from last year Darus Suharto is on 57,500 after eliminating a short stack shover who pushed on a {6-Hearts} {A-Diamonds} {7-Spades} flop with {9-Clubs} {9-Spades} but Suharto was quite content to call with {A-Clubs} {A-Hearts} which held on the {3-Spades} turn and {6-Diamonds} river.

Boyd Lets It Go

Dutch Boyd raised to 1,500 before Max Ovseyeutz made it 4,000 to go. Boyd called and they took a flop of {A-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}.

Boyd checked, Ovseyeutz fired 4,500 and Boyd made the call. The turn brought the {10-Hearts} and Boyd led out for 6,000. Ovseyeutz then announced he was all in for 22,000.

Boyd deliberated but gave it up. He's at 110,000 chips.

Frazer Wheels Out A Double

Ian Frazer and an opposing player saw a flop of {9-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{A-Hearts} fall and all of Frazer's chips go into the middle.

Frazer: {A-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}
Opponent: {A-Spades}{Q-Spades}

The turn and river landed the {2-Hearts} and {3-Clubs} to see Frazer make a runner-runner wheel to double through to over 30,000 in chips.
