Phan and His Queens Win a Small Pot

From middle position, Tim Phan raised to 1,500 and was called by three players: one in later position, one from the button, and one from the big blind.

The flop came down {A-Spades} {10-Diamonds} {9-Spades} and everyone checked. The turn brought the {3-Clubs} and action checked to the button. He fired 1,500 and the big blind and Phan both called. The other player folded.

The river was the {7-Hearts} and everyone checked. The big blind mucked after the button showed {J-Diamonds} {10-Spades}. Phan held {Q-Hearts} {Q-Spades} and won the hand to move up to 18,000. The player that folded on the flop said he folded two kings.

O'Deary, O'Leary

What the poker gods giveth, the poker gods taketh away.

Kevin O'Leary knocked out another player just recently to put him up to over 100,000. The sympathetic murmurs of, "Helluva call," around the table as his opponent left suggested that the chips went in on the flop or the turn.

O'Leary: {3-Clubs} {3-Diamonds}
Mr. Busto: {7-Diamonds} {6-Clubs}

Board: {5-?} {2-?} {7-?} {4-?} {A-?}

The unfortunate Mr. Busto actually thought he'd won the hand and went to sit back down, until O'Leary pointed out that he'd made a straight with a rather unnecessary, "Stand up, you don't want to sit back down."

------

A few hands later though, and the chips went back out of O'Leary's stack as he doubled up another player at the table, O'Leary's pocket sixes no good at all against the short stack's pocket aces.

O'Leary now on 86,000.

Bonomo Dodges Bullets

Justin Bonomo
Justin Bonomo
We arrived at the table to see a flop of {10-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} and Justin Bonomo faced with a tricky decision. We're unsure of the action but with over 10,000 in the pot, Bonomo was staring at a 15,000-chip decision.

"That's a big bet. You have a big hand?" said Bonomo.

After a few minutes of thought, Bonomo sighed, "Nice hand, you win..." and folded pocket queens face up!

His opponent acknowledged the fold of Bonomo and flashed pocket aces!

Another player at the table piped up, "You shouldn't have showed him! He has enough confidence as it is!"

A great fold by Bonomo sees him hang onto his 130,000 chip stack.
