Powell Over a Million

Brian Powell and Niklas Flisberg got all of the money in on the turn. Flisberg held {A-Spades} {2-Spades} and was crushed by Powell's {A-Hearts} {A-Diamonds}.

The flop only contained one spade when it came {K-Hearts} {Q-Spades} {Q-Clubs}. The turn brought a second spade to the board -- {J-Spades} -- giving Flisberg a flush draw and a straight draw to chop the pot and this is when all of the money went in. The river completed neither of those as the {3-Clubs} fell.

Flisberg was eliminated and Powell moved up to 1.04 million.

Bilzerian Tops a Million, Eliminates Lipkin

Dan Bilzerian opened for 22,000 from middle position, Robert Lipkin moved all in for 175,000 from late position and Bilzerian made the call.

Lipkin {A-Hearts} {J-Spades}
Bilzerian {A-Spades} {Q-Diamonds}

Lipkin could not improve on the {10-Diamonds} {7-Diamonds} {4-Diamonds} {9-Spades} {10-Clubs} board and hit the rail, while Bilzerian increased his stack to 1,145,000.

More Eliminations

Coba Cao was all in with {3-Spades} {3-Hearts}, racing for his tournament life against the {A-Hearts} {Q-Clubs} of Chad Awerbuch. The board didn't pair Awerbuch, but it ran out {4-Diamonds} {6-Hearts} {4-Clubs} {6-Diamonds} {5-Hearts}. With two pair on the board, Cao's underpair was counterfeited, and he was left playing the board. Awerbuch's ace kicker played, good enough to send Cao home.

At the same time, Antoine Dugast was all in with {A-Hearts} {9-Hearts} against the {Q-Clubs} {J-Hearts} of Joe Cada. The board ran down {7-Clubs} {2-Spades} {Q-Hearts} {9-Diamonds} {8-Diamonds}, and Cada makes the winning pair of queens. Dugast becomes the latest victim of the Main Event, and the casualties are really starting to pile up here on Day 5.

Bartello Busted

Donald Crabtree pushed all in from the button and Vince Bartello shoved behind out of the blinds, eager to get his money in as he was holding {K-Spades} {K-Hearts}.

Crabtree held {A-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds} but caught the 'Ace from space' as the board came {A-Clubs} {J-Clubs} {7-Hearts} {6-Diamonds} {3-Diamonds}. The dealer counted the chips down and Crabtree had 163,000 exactly, then counting Bartello's stack it was found that he too had 163,000 and was hence eliminated.

Saul's Aces Hold Strong

On a flop of {9-Clubs} {7-Clubs} {2-Spades}, Kevin Saul fired out a bet of 100,000. Josh Mancuso raised all in and Saul called off his last 350,000.

Saul held {A-Diamonds} {A-Spades} and was ahead of the {Q-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds} that Mancuso held.

The turn brought the {8-Clubs} and the river the {K-Diamonds}. Saul's aces held up and he moved up to 875,000 chips. Mancuso dropped all the way down to 50,000.

Brian Taylor Busto

Brian Taylor got the rest of his chips in before the flop with {7-Hearts} {7-Diamonds} only to run in to Frank Rusnak's {A-Clubs} {A-Diamonds}. No love for Taylor on the {A-Spades} {9-Spades} {5-Diamonds} {10-Diamonds} {3-Diamonds} board and he hit the rail.

Ivey Falling

Elad Magidov fired 125,000 on the flop of {K-Spades} {5-Spades} {4-Clubs} and Phil Ivey called.

The turn brought the {5-Hearts} and both players checked.

The river was the {K-Diamonds} and Magidov fired 175,000. Ivey mucked, dropping to 660,000 after the hand. Magidov is up to 940,000 after showing that he filled up with {A-Hearts} {K-Hearts}.
