Tang Turns it Around - Again

Gary Tang hasn't been shy about playing hands. In the last hand before the break, Walter Wright raised to 60,000 from under-the-gun and Tang called from the big blind.

Tang then check-raised Wright to 200,000 on a flop of {10-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{2-Spades}. After the call, both players checked the {3-Diamonds} on the turn and Tang check-called Wright's 175,000 chip bet when the {9-Clubs} hit the river.

Tang turned over {K-Diamonds}{10-Spades} for top pair and lost the hand when Wright tabled pocket aces.

Tang Turns it Around

After two tough losses, Tang pushed his last 625,000 into the middle preflop against Kam Low who tanked shortly before making the call with {A-Clubs}{9-Spades}. Tang was ahead again, this time holding {A-Hearts}{J-Clubs}, and a flop of {2-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} gave him a more comfortable lead.

The {8-Hearts} on the turn changed nothing and the {5-Diamonds} on the river gave Tang two pair along with the 1.3 million chip pot. Low fell to 450,000 after the hand.

Another Loss for Tang

Shortly after losing to Wright, Tang took another hit, this time at the hand Mike Ciotola who raised to 52,000 preflop from the cutoff. Tang reraised to 187,000 from the small blind and then called Ciotola's all in for an additional 250,000.

Tang got in ahead with {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds} vs. Ciotola's {8-Clubs}{8-Spades}, but a flop of {8-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} but him behind in the hand. The {4-Spades} and {J-Spades} on the turn and river didn't improve Tang's hand and he slipped to 600,000 while Ciotola climbed to 850,000.

Gary Tang Headed in Reverse

On a board of {7-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}, Gary Tang check-called a 107,000 chip river bet by Walter Wright who showed {4-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} for two pair. A disgusted Tang tabled {A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for busted straight and flush draws as his stack shrunk to 1 million.

Wright padded his chip stack to 1,350,000 in the hand.

McInnis Doubles Up

Brian McInnis
Brian McInnis
Brian McInnis got his stack in preflop with {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} against Jacob Kalb who called with {K-Spades}{10-Spades}.

When the board came {A-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{J-Spades}{7-Clubs}, McInnis' cowboys stood up and he doubled up to 700,000.

Travis Johnson Takes One Down

Gary Tang raised to 64,000 from middle position and got re-raised to 207,000 by Travis Johnson out of the small blind. Mike Ciotola called from the big blind, as did Tang.

Johnson wasted no time after that, shoving all in for 726,000 on a flop of {6-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{4-Clubs} and forcing both Ciotola and Tang to fold.
