Small One For Williams

Antonio Esfandiari raised it up to 51,000 from the button with Jeff Williams making the call in the small blind.

They took a flop of {8-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{8-Spades} and Williams checked to Esfandiari who fired a continuation bet of 83,000. Williams made the call.

The turn was the {K-Hearts} and both players checked to see the {9-Clubs} land on the river. Again both players checked it down and Williams tabled {A-Spades}{10-Hearts} for the best hand.

Anthony Gargano Eliminated in 14th Place ($39,159)

Anthony Gargano - 14th place
Anthony Gargano - 14th place

James Carroll opened with a raise to 40,000 from the button before Anthony Gargano announced himself all in from the small blind. Immediately behind him, Antonio Esfandiari slid his entire stack into the middle from the big blind as Carroll quickly got out of the way.

Gargano: {K-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}
Esfandiari: {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}

"HOOOOOOLLLLLLDDDDDDDDDDDDDD!" yelled Esfandiari and it did on the {9-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds} board. After a countdown of chips, Esfandiari just had Gargano covered to eliminate him in 14th place. Esfandiari is motoring once again with around 1,000,000 chips.

Behling Unafraid of DeWitt

In the cutoff seat Jason DeWitt raised to 36,000 for the second orbit in a row. The last time, Nico Behling called and fired a bet apiece on the flop and turn to take down the pot. This time, Behling three-bet him to 111,000 straight, and DeWitt tank-folded.

Behling turned his {J-Clubs} {9-Clubs} face-up on the table, trying to send a little message to the aggressive chip leader. We'll see how that works out as this table plays on.

Dragan Galic Eliminated in 16th Place ($31,305)

Dragan Galic - 16th Place
Dragan Galic - 16th Place

Under the gun, Dragan Galic moved his 207,000 chips into the pot on an open-shove all in. Action came all the way around the table to big blind Paul Foltyn, and he asked for a count before making the call with the covering stack. Galic was at risk, and it was another flip of the coin:

Galic: {A-Clubs} {8-Clubs}
Foltyn: {6-Spades} {6-Diamonds}

Galic stood from his chair to chant, "Ace on the river! Ace on the river!" His pleas went unanswered, though, as the dealer spread a blank board of {2-Spades} {J-Hearts} {K-Diamonds} {9-Hearts} {J-Clubs}. Unable to find anything useful there, the gregarious Galic has been sent off in 16th place.

Veronica Dunn Eliminated in 17th Place ($31,305)

Veronica Dunn - 17th Place
Veronica Dunn - 17th Place

Veronica Dunn open-shoved her last 174,000 into the pot, and she made it almost all the way around the table before Peter Gilmore made the call in the big blind to put her at risk. Gilmore turned up {A-Spades} {J-Hearts}, and Dunn knocked the table in acknowledgement as she tabled her own {K-Spades} {Q-Diamonds}, behind but drawing live for the double up.

The board ran down thusly: {10-Spades} {6-Spades} {3-Diamonds} {A-Diamonds} {Q-Spades}

That queen on the river would have been good but for the ace on the street before it. Unable to win her final hand of the day, Dunn has been knocked out in 17th place.

Gilmore is up to 860,000.

Gilmore Doubles Through Esfandiari

Peter Gilmore
Peter Gilmore

Peter Gilmore opened for a raise to 45,000 from early position and play folded to Antonio Esfandiari in the big blind who raised it to 165,000 in total. Gilmore quickly declared himself all in and Esfandiari insta-called.

Gilmore: {K-Clubs}{K-Spades}
Esfandiari: {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}

The board of {7-Clubs}{7-Spades}{Q-Spades}{3-Hearts}{9-Hearts} was ace-less for Esfandiari as Gilmore doubles to 700,000. Esfandiari is back down to 420,00.

Seed Heckles Esfandiari From The Rail

Antonio Esfandiari raised to 34,000 before Amit Makhija popped it to 110,000 from the small blind. As Esfandiari was considering his decision a voice popped up from the third row of the rail...

Huck Seed: "Say something Antonio! The cameras are on you!"

No reaction from Esfandiari.

Seed: "You're playing like...like..."

Esfandiari: "Like I'm in a pot?"

Seed: "Like you're Huckleberry Seed!"

Seed: "What's the matter Antonio? Never been heckled by the rail before?"

Esfandiari: "Not by a professional while I'm in a pot and playing for a million dollars"

Seed: "Oh wow a million dollars? That's important..."

Esfandiari then decided to fold his hand.

Esfandiari: "Huckleberry Seed ladies and gentlemen. Trying to get a reaction from me. Lucky you started talking Huckleberry, otherwise I was just going to ship it there"

Seed: "Yeah I sensed that. I saved you. I'll be over there (at a nearby table) if you need any more advice ok?"
