Boeken Takes One From Ivey

Phil Ivey is down to just 7,000 in chips after a recent pot when the way of Noah Boeken.

Catching the action on a flop of {K-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}, both players checked and a repeat {K-Clubs} hit the turn. Ivey checked, Boeken bet 1,800 and Ivey made the call.

The river was yet another king, this time the {K-Diamonds}. Again Ivey checked, and then called the bet of 3,000 from Boeken. However Ivey's cards hit the muck when Boeken showed down {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades}.
