Benefield Finally Claims The Scalp Of The Poker Brat

Phil Hellmuth eliminated
Phil Hellmuth eliminated

Phil Hellmuth and David Benefield have tangled once again, but this time the eleven-time WSOP bracelet winner did not come out unscathed.

Once again Hellmuth was holding the {A-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} and committed all of his chips preflop. Benefield this time held {3-Spades}{3-Clubs} for a baby pair and he made the call.

The flop was ugly for Hellmuth as it arrived {4-Spades}{3-Hearts}{2-Hearts} to give Benefield a set, however Hellmuth wasn't done with just yet as he picked up some outs to a straight. The {a-Hearts} on the turn left Hellmuth looking for just a chop but it didn't arrive on the {J-Diamonds} river.

Hellmuth ranted a little before making a disappointed exit from the Amazon Room, while Benefield is with our chip leaders on 475,000 chips.
