Makhija Takes Late Pot

Amit Makhija opened with a raise to 30,000 from the hijack position and Antonio Esfandiari made the call in the big blind.

They saw a {K-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} flop and Esfandiari checked over to Makhija who fired 57,000. Esfandiari made the call. The {10-Hearts} hit the turn and Esfandiari checked to Makhija who fired again for 90,000. Again Esfandiari made the call.

The river was the {3-Clubs} and again it was checked to Makhija who fired a third barrel worth 225,000. Esfandiari decided to give it up as Makhija win a nice pot without showdown. Makhija is up to 1.3 million with Esfandiari down to 882,000.
