Nines Good for Chaplin

Jeff Shulman opened the pot in the cutoff seat and Joseph Chaplin popped it from the small blind. Shulman called.

The flop ran out {6-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}, Chaplin bet and Shulman called. The turn brought a {5-Spades} to the table and once more Shulman called a bet from Chaplin.

The river was a bricked card and both players checked. Chaplin tabled {9-Clubs}{9-Spades} and took the pot.

Earth-Quach

A few bets were put in by William Jensen, Norman Lapin and Daniel Quach preflop before the flop came down {K-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}. Jensen checked, Lapin bet and then Quach called and was all in. Jensen then raised and Lapin called.

The turn was the {7-Diamonds} and Jensen bet. Lapin made the call. The river was the {5-Diamonds} and Jensen checked. Lapin fired and Jensen folded, giving up his chance at the side pot.

Lapin scooped the side pot and then showed the {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}. He had a diamond flush, but Quach one upped him with the {A-Diamonds}{A-Spades} for the higher flush and was able to rake in the main pot. He's now up to 55,000 chips and back from the dead.

Shorr Booms

Shannon Shorr
Shannon Shorr

Jonathan Tamayo raised from middle position. Shannon Shorr three-bet from the small blind. The big blind called and then Tamayo called as well.

The flop came down {10-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{7-Spades} and action went nuts. It got capped with all three players sticking around to see the {A-Diamonds} fall on the turn. Again, the action was capped but the big blind folded after only putting in one bet. Shorr was all in for the capped bet and Tamayo was there to call him.

Tamayo held the {10-Spades}{10-Clubs} and Shorr held the {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}. The river completed the board with the {6-Spades} and Shorr boomed to 145,000. Tamayo dropped to 32,000.

Tamayo Felted

Jonathan Tamayo's run has come to an end. He got the last of his chips in with the {A-Hearts}{4-Spades} versus the {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts} of Marc Durand. The board ran out {K-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{9-Spades} to give Durand a full house and move him to 67,000 chips. The only place Tamayo was moving to was out the door as he had nothing left on the felt in front of him.
