Honegger Can't Bluff Abrahams

Joshua Honegger raised from the hijack seat and then Javed Abrahams reraised from the cutoff. Honegger made the call. The flop came down {6-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{2-Spades} and Honegger check-called a bet from Abrahams. After the {J-Diamonds} fell on the turn, both players checked. The river completed the board with the {3-Diamonds} and Honegger bet out. Abrahams called and won with the {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades} against Honegger's {K-Spades}{8-Spades}.

A Rood Exit

Brent Courson raised and then David Rood reraised. Courson made the call and the flop came down {Q-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}. Courson check-called a bet from Rood on the flop and then the {6-Hearts} fell on the turn. Courson checked, Rood bet and then Courson raised all in. Rood made the call.

Courson held the {6-Clubs}{6-Spades} for quad sixes while Rood held the {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} for two pair. The river was meaningless and after it was all said and done, Rood was left with just 2,000 chips while Courson moved up to 52,000. Shortly thereafter, Rood hit the rail.

Lee Takes One from Barnett

Dan Barnett raised in the hijack seat and then Duke Lee reraised on the button. Barnett made the call. The flop came down {K-Hearts}{8-Spades}{8-Clubs} and Barnett checked. Lee bet and Barnett called.

The turn was the {J-Spades} and both players checked before the {J-Clubs} made two pair on board. Barnett fired a bet and Lee made the call.

Barnett announced that he had ace high and Lee showed pocket nines, for a better two pair than what was on board. He moved up to 94,000 while Barnett dropped to 88,000.

Banfield's Run Ends

Melanie Banfield just doubled up, but she couldn't last much longer after that. She got her money in with pocket fives against the {K-Hearts}{4-Hearts} of Andrew Brussard. The board ran out {Q-Hearts}{J-Spades}{J-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{8-Spades} and Banfield's pair was counterfeited. Brussard's king kicker played and he went Banfield to the rail.

Brussard is on 80,000 chips now.

Serock Out

Joe Serock has been eliminated from Event No. 18. On the flop of {K-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}, Serock bet and Brent Courson called. The turn brought a {10-} and Serock bet all in. Courson called. He had pocket sevens and Serock had {A-}{Q-}.

The river bricked for Serock and Courson's pair of sevens were best, sending the young gun to the rail in 28th place. We'll have the redraw for you shortly.
