Matt Matros Eliminated in 9th Place ($16,174)

Matt Matros - 9th Place
Matt Matros - 9th Place

Action folded to the cutoff seat and Matt Grapenthien raised. Matt Matros was on the button and reraised. Grapenthien made the call. The two players took a flop of {9-Hearts}{5-Spades}{2-Clubs} and Grapenthien bet out. Matros made the call with only 29,000 chips behind.

The turn was the {9-Spades} and Grapenthien bet again. Matros called all in for his last chips and held the {A-Spades}{J-Spades} for two overs to the board and a spade flush draw. Grapenthien had the {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} meaning one of Matros' couldn't win him the pot.

The river completed the board with the {6-Clubs} and Matros was eliminated in 9th place. He made an amazing run in back-to-back limit events after winning a bracelet a week ago, taking home $16,174 here.
