The Long March Continues

The Amazon Room is a little more crowded today for Day 2 of Event #2 - The $50,000 Poker Player's Championship. Most of the Red section and all of the Blue section is filled to capacity with spillover from the Pavilion Room, where Event #3 - $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em is taking place. The overflow has given the Amazon Room a lively buzz it was missing yesterday.

According to Harrah's, 105 of the 116 starters in Event #2 made it through five levels yesterday to the bag-and-tag process. However they listed several players as busted -- including Mike Matusow -- that we are positive made it through to Day 2. So we'll have to see who's here and who's not when they show up in about an hour to unbag the chips.

What's certain is that the remaining survivors are led by Erik Sagstrom, David Oppenheim and the legendary Doyle Brunson. What's also certain is that nobody ever won a five-day tournament on the first or second day. It's a long way to the final table still.

Cards are in the air at 3pm local time. We'll be live from the floor all day.
