No More Negreanu

Razz:

Just before the break, Daniel Negreanu was crippled in a hand of razz against Eli Elezra. Negreanu was the bring-in with a 10. Action folded around to last-to-act Elezra, who completed a 5. Negreanu decided to play, a bad idea after Elezra made a 7-6 in five. Elezra then extracted extra bets out of the drawing-nearly-dead Negreanu on sixth and seventh streets.

Stud:

That hand left Negreanu with 8,400 chips. On the first hand after the break, playing Stud, Negreanu caught the bring-in with the {2-Hearts}. Action again folded to Elezra, who completed the {q-Spades}. They got it all in, with Negreanu's {2-Spades} {j-Clubs} / {2-Hearts} behind Elezra's {7-Clubs} {7-Spades} / {q-Spades}. Elezra made aces up by sixth street, leaving Negreanu drawing to two outs at the river. He squeezed hard and knew he had either the {2-Clubs} or {3-Clubs}. Whenhe flipped it, it was the {3-Clubs}, a brick. Negreanu is out.
