Thibaut Doubles, Still Short

Klinghammer Thibaut was down to his last 200,000 chips when John "Tex" Barch limped in from the button. Thibaut raised pot to 120,000 and the action folded back to Barch who called.

Thibaut's hand was suspended in the air with his last 80,000 and he dropped the chips in as soon as the dealer fanned {K-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{6-Spades}.

"Alright," Tex sighed. "I call."

Thibaut happily opened {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{10-Spades} and Barch needed help with {A-Clubs}{J-Spades}{7-Spades}{4-Diamonds}.

The board ran {3-Hearts}, {6-Hearts} are Thibaut's aces held doubling him to a little more than 400,000. He is still our resident short stack however.

Don't Mess With Tex

Don't mess with Texas.
Don't mess with Texas.

Nenad Medic opened to 85,000 on the button and John "Tex" Barch called out of the small blind.

The flop fell {7-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} and Barch check-called 125,000 from Medic.

Both players checked the {q-Spades} on the turn and after the {3-Clubs} rivered Barch announced pot then slid 450,000 into the pot.

Medic jumped up in his chair and let out a long sigh.

"Sick, sick hand," he said under his breath. "What do you have you?"

"You call?" Tex said, pretending to start opening his hand.

"No, no," Medic returned.

After a few minutes of deliberation, Medic finally brought himself to fold and tabled aces with the missed, nut diamond draw.

Tex showed us all {8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} with a Lone Star sized grin and raked in the pot chipping back up to 1,860,000.

Nice Flop for Barch

Action folded to John "Tex" Barch who completed from the small blind. Klinghammer Thibaut checked his option and the flop fell {K-Clubs}{8-Spades}{K-Spades}. Both players checked.

The turn brought the {2-Clubs} and Barch led for 80,000. Thibaut called.

The river was the {7-Spades} bringing a flush possibility. Barch led for 225,000 and Thibaut thought for a bit before sliding nine green T25,000 chips forward.

Barch opened {a-Spades}{j-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} for a flopped full house, and Thibaut mucked.

Tex is now up to 2,350,000 chips and Thibaut is short again with 250,000

Medic Slipping

Nenad Medic opened to 125,000 from under the gun and John "Tex" Barch flatted on the button. The blinds released and the flop fell {8-Spades}{J-Hearts}{K-Spades}.

Medic checked and Barch fired 300,000. Medic folded, sending another hundred thousand chips to his neighbor, and our commanding chip leader, Tex Barch.
