Welman Out

Jessica Welman
Jessica Welman

Jessica Welman was just now all in for roughly 17,000 with {10-Spades}{7-Spades} and was looking for help against Diane Gagne's {J-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}.

The board ran out {9-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{8-Spades}, and Welman is out. Gagne only had Welman covered by a little on that one, and is now sitting with 36,000.

A Look at the Leaderboard

La Sengphet
La Sengphet

We're halfway into Level 13, and La Sengphet continues to maintain her sizable lead over the field. Here's a look at the top of the leaderboard at the moment:

La Sengphet -- 194,000
Kami Chisholm -- 104,000
Stacy Matuson-Taylor -- 81,000
Yu Kurita -- 80,000
Alisa Chandler -- 77,000
Mimi Tran -- 76,000
Sidsei Boesen -- 70,000
Linda Johnson -- 68,000
Liv Boeree -- 65,000
Carol Gardner -- 64,000

Chisholm Charges

Kami Chisholm has moved into second-place with 115,000. She picked up a few more chips recently in a hand which saw the elimination of Janet Howard.

Howard, down to her last 12,000 or so, open-raised all in from the small blind, and Chisholm called from the BB. Howard showed {A-Hearts}{2-Clubs}, and Chisholm {10-Spades}{7-Spades}.

The flop looked okay for Howard -- {J-Spades}{4-Hearts}{J-Clubs}. But the {Q-Spades} turn and {3-Spades} river meant runner-runner flush for Chisholm, and Howard is out.

Here's the Story of a Lovely Lady

Jennifer Cox
Jennifer Cox

Jennifer Cox just open-raised all in for 15,000 from middle position, and the table folded around to Liv Boeree who called from the small blind. Cox had {A-Diamonds}{J-Spades} and Boeree tabled {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}. The race was on.

The board came {5-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{8-Clubs}{7-Spades}, and Boeree took the hand. Cox -- a.k.a. Jan Brady from The Brady Bunch films -- makes her first ever WSOP cash.

Meanwhile, Boeree storms into second place with that one with 140,000. Still a way to go, though, to catch La Sengphet, who has already crossed the 200,000-chip mark.

Nuanmanee No More

Khamsy Nuanmanee opened with a raise to 4,200 from middle position, and Ronit Chamani reraised to 13,000 behind her. The table folded around, and Nuanmanee announced she was all in for 23,800 total. Chamani made the call.

Nuanmanee {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}
Chamani {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

Bad timing for Nuanmanee. The community cards came {8-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}, and Chamani eliminated Nuanmanee. Try to say that ten times fast.

Chamani is now up to 85,000.
