Davis Doubles Through Baldwin

Joe Baldwin raised to 35,000 from under the gun and Taurean Davis reraised all in from the next seat for 355,000. Baldwin eventually made the call and held the {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}. He was one-upped by the {9-Hearts}{9-Spades} from Davis.

The board ran out {K-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{J-Clubs} and Davis earned the double to about 800,000 in chips while Baldwin dropped back to 840,000.

Papola Pops a Double

Jeffrey Papola raised to 32,000 from under the gun and Alexander Ivarsson called from the small blind. Justin Smith called from the big blind. The flop came down {K-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{5-Spades} and action checked to the preflop raiser. Papola bet out 48,000 and Ivarsson raised to 125,000. Smith folded and then Papola moved all in for 227,000 more (352,000). Ivarsson called.

Ivarsson held the {K-Spades}{6-Spades} for top pair of kings, but he was out-kicked by the {K-Clubs}{Q-Spades} or Papola. The turn brought the {9-Diamonds} and the river completed the board with the {A-Diamonds}.

Papola was able to double up to roughly 750,000 while Ivarsson slipped to 600,000 in chips.

Patrick Ricci Eliminated in 13th Place ($23,537)

Patrick Ricci raised to 36,000 from the under-the-gun position. Joe Baldwin was in the small blind and reraised to 90,000. Ricci moved all in for around 400,000 and Baldwin made the insta-call.

Baldwin held the mother of all hands with the {A-Hearts}{A-Spades}. Ricci held the {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} and was crushed and in need of some serious help.

The board was run out {K-Spades}{6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} and that was it for Ricci, who finished in 13th place and the last player to go before we break things down to two tables. We'll have the redraw for you shortly.

I Think I Have a Straight

On the flop of {8-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{2-Spades}, Martins Adeniya bet 16,000 and Taurean Davis raised to 38,000. Adeniya called and then the turn came the {3-Hearts}. Both players checked and the river came the {2-Hearts}. Adeniya fired 125,000 and Davis called. Adeniya tabled the {5-Hearts}{4-Hearts} for a straight, but had to double check the board first before actually turning up his hand. He won the pot and moved to 1.375 million in chips while Davis dropped to 380,000.

Andrey Danilyuk Eliminated in 14th Place ($23,537)

Martins Adeniya opened to 35,000 from the cutoff, Taurean Davis folded his button and Andrey Danilyuk moved all in for 280,000 from the small blind. The second Eddy Scharf folded from the big blind Adeniya flipped up {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds} for the call.

Danilyuk was in trouble with {6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}.

The board ran {j-Spades}{7-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{2-Spades} and Danilyuk hit the rail.

Adeniya is off to a great start today and now sits with 1,400,000 chips.

Erik Cajelais Eliminated in 15th Place ($23,537)

Erik Cajelais - 15th Place

Erik Cajelais has had a very short Day 3 as he busted out just moments ago when he was all in preflop with two red nines against the two red jacks of William Haydon. The board ran out {K-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{J-Spades}{10-Spades} to leave Cajelais drawing dead on the turn and sending him out the door in 15th place. He took home $23,537 for his finish.

Chop It Up

Martins Adeniya opened to 35,000 from in the cutoff and Taurean Davis called on the button. Eddy Scharf defended his big blind and the flop fell {8-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{10-Clubs}.

Scharf quickly moved all in. Adeniya asked for a "ballpark" count and when the dealer informed him it was about 170,000 he folded. Davis, who was still stacking his recently un-bagged chips, tanked for a bit and eventually called.

Showdown
Scharf: {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}
Davis: {k-Clubs}{q-Spades} (Freeroll!)

Although Davis was on a huge freeroll, neither the turn ({k-Diamonds}) or the river ({10-Diamonds}) were clubs and the two chopped the pot.
