Sabbatical for Sabat

From the button, Clement Thumy made it 5,000 and got a call from Saar Wilf in the small blind before Edward Sabat moved all in from the big blind for 8,400. Both of his opponents made the call.

The flop came down {7-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{2-Clubs} and Thumy and Wilf both checked. When the {a-Diamonds} hit the turn, both players checked again.

The {j-Diamonds} fell on the river and Wilf check-called a 6,000 bet from Thumy.

Sabat's {7-Spades}{10-Spades} was no good against his opponents. Wilf's {a-Spades}{3-Hearts} was bested by Thumy who took the pot with {a-Clubs}{9-Spades}.

Estes Taking from Negreanu

Danny Estes took a nice sized pot of off Daniel Negreanu a few minutes ago.

Estes raised preflop and Negreanu was his only customer from the big blind.

The flop fell {2-Clubs}{4-Spades}{8-Clubs} and Negreanu check-called a bet from Estes.

Both players checked the {A-Hearts} on the turn and after the {A-Diamonds} rivered Negreanu check-called 19,500 from Estes.

Estes opened {A-Spades}{Q-Spades} and Negreanu mucked his hand.

It's a CoinFilippi

Amnon Filippi called one of our tournament reporters over to tell them about a recent double up.

According to Filippi he was all in with {5-Hearts}{5-Spades} against {A-Clubs}{7-Clubs}.

The {6-}{j-}{3-} flop was clean, but the {7-} on the turn put Filippi behind. He needed a four for the gutter-ball or a five for a set and was very relieved to see the {5-Diamonds} spike on the river.

With the double up Filippi is now up to 64,000 chips.

MC Klinghammer

Klinghammer Thibaut and MC Hammer have something in common.

They're both busto.

Benjamin Maerefat opened to 5,100 from the button and Thibaut moved all in for 25,000 from the big blind. Maerefat called.

Showdown
Maerefat: {A-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}
Thibaut: {A-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}

The board ran {10-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{k-Spades}{a-Diamonds} and Thibaut hit the rail.

Maerefat is up to 165,000 chips.

Schussler and Negreanu Tangle Again

From under the gun, Daniel Negreanu made it 5,600. It folded around to Sarah Schussler on the button who moved in for 66,800.

"Give it a count, cause I'm probably going to play," Negreanu said to the dealer. When the dealer counted 67,000, Negreanu said, "Let's see what this will do to me," and starts counting his chips.

"Almost half my stack. I think you have ace-king but I'm going to let you have it," he said and folded {9-Spades}{9-Clubs} face-up.

Schussler showed {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} to which Negreanu said, "Aces, I think you had me beat."
