Steve Cowley Eliminated in 6th Place ($77,228)

Steve Cowley - 6th Place
Steve Cowley - 6th Place

Steve Cowley raised to 105,000 and Jeffrey Papola called from the big blind. The flop came down {J-Spades}{6-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} and Papola checked. Cowley fried a continuation bet of 140,000 and Papola called.

The turn card came the {10-Diamonds} and this is where things got really interesting. Papola checked and Cowley fired 215,000. After a few moments, Papola moved all in. Chowley made the call, holding top pair, top kicker and the nut diamond draw with the {A-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}. Papola turned two pair with the {J-Hearts}{10-Hearts}.

Cowley was the player at risk and when the {8-Clubs} landed on the river, he was all out of chips as Papola scooped the pot. Cowley earned $77,228 for his finish.
