Taking Estock of Things

Jason Estock found himself all in while betting continued between Joseph Santagata and another player.

When they all turned over their cards, the other player's eight-seven low took half the side pot, but Estock rivered an eight-five low for half the main, putting him at 17,000. Santagata's two pair got him half of everything, and play continued.

Case Two for Cantu

Brandon Cantu: {J-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}/{J-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{2-Hearts}
Debbie Hickok: {Q-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{4-Spades}/{Q-Hearts}{A-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{2-Spades}

There was a lot of confusion about this hand: first, the floor was called to decide if someone could raise once Cantu had moved all in on third street for what I understand was 6,900, and then when the final cards were dealt, Cantu didn't realise that he'd spiked the case two to scoop the pot with an unlikely boat.

Either way, Cantu survives for a 42,000 stack, whilst an unfortunate Hickok drops to 40,000.

Unlimited Lives

Felipe Ramos
Felipe Ramos

If you pool together all the cats in the world they might not have as many lives as Felipe Ramos. Not for the first time today, he was all in on an early street, this time facing Manuel Bevand.

Bevand: {2-Spades} {9-Spades}/{K-Hearts} {5-Diamonds} {Q-Spades} {2-Diamonds}/{3-Hearts}
Ramos: {4-Diamonds} {5-Clubs}/{9-Diamonds} {6-Clubs} {10-Hearts} {4-Hearts}/{Q-Diamonds}

Somehow, a pair of fours were enough for Ramos to scoop. Both players now have around 30,000, although are heading in opposite directions.

Gleason Busts as Jett Flies High

Vince Burgio: (XX) / {5-Hearts}{10-Hearts} - fold
Eddie Gleason: {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} / {9-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}
Karina Jett: {3-Spades}{a-Spades}{k-Clubs} - the king on seventh / {6-Spades}{7-Spades}{4-Spades}{q-Hearts}

We're not sure who was the bettor on fourth street but either way Vince Burgio folded. Karina Jett and Eddie Gleason proceeded to fifth, where Jett bet out and Gleason called.

"Well I'm gonna get it all in anyways so I might as well bet into you," said Gleason as he bet out on sixth street and Jett raised. Duly, the chips went in, and they revealed their hands, Jett the made flush with a seven low, and Gleason trip nines.

Seventh street changed nothing for Jett and failed to bring in a full house for Gleason. "Good luck," he told the table, and swiftly took his leave.

Jett's stack increased to over 120,000.

Inclement Weather

Regis Burlot: {j-}{10-}(X) / {4-Spades}{10-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{j-Clubs}
Scott Clements: (mucked) / {8-Spades}{10-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}
Debbie Hickok: {2-}{6-}{7-} / {4-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}

Scott Clements raised all in for his last 4,800 on sixth street and both Debbie Hickok and original bettor Regis Burlot made the call. Kickok checked on seventh and then insta-called Burlot's bet.

What Clements got his last chips in with, we will never know. Burlot turned over two pair, jacks and tens, for the high, and Hickok turned over an eight low. Clements' cards went into the muck, and Clements himself went out the door.

Topsy-Turvy

Vincent Burgio, who has a record as long as Mr. Tickle's arms, decided to make his move on third street for his final few chips. Topias Wahlbeck dwelt, but eventually made the call.

"I have nothing," announced Burgio. "So do I," came the reply.

Somehow, Burgio had his man dominated, but despite their hole cards, it was bizarrely Burgio who took the high, and Wahlbeck the low.

Vince Burgio: {8-Diamonds} {Q-Spades}/{J-Diamonds} {5-Spades} {3-Clubs} {2-Clubs}/{A-Clubs}
Topias Wahlbeck: {3-Diamonds} {J-Spades}/{8-Clubs} {4-Clubs} {4-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds}/{K-Clubs}

Wahlbeck - 55,000
Burgio - 15,000
