Moneymaker Mucks

Chris Moneymaker opened with a raise to 225 from middle position, then a player behind raised to 600. It folded back around, and Moneymaker called.

The flop came a provocative {10-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{8-Hearts}. Both checked. The turn added further intrigue, bringing the {10-Hearts}. This time Moneymaker checked, his opponent bet 500, and Moneymaker called.

The river was the {6-Spades}. Both players decided they’d had enough drama and checked. Moneymaker’s opponents showed {Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs}. “I like your pair a lot better than I like mine,” said the 2003 Main Event champion as he mucked. Moneymaker has 6,600 at present.
