Ivey Three-Tabling

Phil Ivey is playing in three tournaments right now.

He is sitting at the featured table of this event, he is blinding off in Event #33 where he hasn't played a hand today and has already won his first heat in Event #35: $10,000 Heads Up No-Limit Hold'em Championship.

Today is definitely a busy day for Mr. Ivey

Ivey is King

Phil Ivey opened to 4,200 from early position and Todd Terry moved all in for 50,000 from the big blind. Ivey snapped it off with {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}, well ahead of Terry's {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}.

The board ran {7-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} and Terry hit the rail.

Ivey now sits with 130,000 chips.

Go On James

With the board reading {5-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}, James Akenhead bet 12,500 into a pot of about 15,000. His opponent, Todd Terry, tanked for a bit before finally making the call.

Akenhead rolled over {j-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} for the flush.

"Nice hand," Terry sighed opening {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} for a worse flush.

Akenhead chipped up to 113,000 chips and Terry slipped to 51,000.

"Obviously"

When we reached Table 312, Isaac Haxton was raking in a huge pot and the board read {6-Hearts}{6-Spades}{3-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{5-Hearts}.

{a-Hearts}{10-Hearts} lay in front of Haxton and Chad Brown mucked his hand.

"Did you make runner, runner flush too?" Haxton asked Brown.

"Obviously," he shrugged back.

Haxton just unregistered for the $10,000 Heads Up because he now has 200,000 chips and Brown fell all the way to 10,000 chips and busted shortly after.

Forecast Improving for Weatherford

Rusell Weatherford raised from late position, and Darren Elias and Jennifer Harman both called out of the blinds.

Flop: {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} - Elias and Harman checked, and Weatherford bet 9,200. Both of his opponents paid to see one more card.

Turn: {7-Clubs} - Elias bet out 24,500, folding Harman. Weatherford made the call.

River: {2-Spades} - Elias went back to checking, and Weatherford checked behind, turning over {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}. Tens and sevens were good for the pot, and Elias just mucked. Weatherfor moved up to 200,000, Elias is down to 98,000, and Harman is a few chips ahead of him with 102,000.

Karp Kaput

Ryan Karp was down to 10,500 when he moved all in from the cutoff with {k-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}. Darrell Ticehurst called on the button with {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} to put him at risk. The board came {7-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{2-Spades}{5-Clubs}{6-Clubs}, and Ticehurst took it down with ace-high, sending Karp to the rail.

Weatherford Binks an Ace

After a series of preflop raises, Russell Weatherford was all in and at risk against Darren Elias. Weatherford was behind holding {a-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} against Elias' {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}.

The {a-Spades}{3-Hearts}{5-Hearts} was great for Weatherford yet horrible for Elias. There was no jack on the turn ({2-Clubs}) or the river ({6-Diamonds}) and Weatherford doubled to 147,000 chips. Elias slipped to 73,000.
