Deeb's Deuces Cracked

The flop read {5-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{2-Diamonds} when we arrived, and three players were in the hand. The first player to act - let us call him Player 1 - bet out 600, and the second player - he shall henceforth be known as Player 2 - called. Over to Freddy Deeb (or Player 3 if you prefer, but we know his name) on the button, who raised to 2,100. Player 1 folded pretty sharpish but Player 2 silently called. They saw a turn.

The turn was the {8-Clubs} and Player 2 checked. Deeb bet 3,500. Player 2 pushed his remaining 8,950 into the middle and Deeb called instantly.

Deeb: {2-Clubs}{2-Spades} for a set of deuces
Player 2: {7-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} for a variety of straight and flush draws

River: {k-Diamonds}

Player 2 shrugged in a what-can-you-do sort of way. It took Deeb a moment to register the flush, but once it had been announced he quietly paid up.

Deeb dropped to 10,500.
