Piper Out

Pot-Limit Omaha

The flop read {q-Hearts}{8-Spades}{6-Spades}. Two players were all in, Dan Fleyshman and Michael Piper, and Joe Serock had them both covered.

Serock: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{7-Clubs}
Fleyshman: {q-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{9-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}
Piper: {a-Spades}{5-Spades}{4-Hearts}{2-Hearts}

The turn brought the {8-Clubs} and the river the {10-Diamonds} giving Serock and Fleyshman the same straight to chop the main pot, while Serock took down the side pot.

Ramdin Doubles

Pot-Limit Hold'em

In a hand recounted to us by another player, Victor Ramdin checked from the small blind after the flop came down {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}{5-Clubs}.

Thomas Giorgi also checked, and Mark Davis bet 3,900. Victor Ramdin made it 23,000. Giorgi reraised all in for about 55,000 and Davis got out of the way. Ramdin called off his remaining stack to be at risk.

Giorgi: {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}
Ramdin: {10-Clubs}{2-Clubs}

The turn and river were good to Ramdin as they fell {2-Spades} and {10-Diamonds} respectively.

Giorgi now has 30,000, while Ramdin is sitting on 71,000.

Rice Makes Quads

Pot-Limit Omaha

This may seem like just an Omaha event the way we're reporting it, but it's not. Trust us, there's some hold'em involved, but not much of the action is happening during the hold'em rounds and that's why we have so many Omaha hands.

Joel Ettedgi started off the action with a raise to 2,200 from middle position Shawn Rice flat-called on the button and then Gavin Cochrane reraised the pot from the bi blind to 8,800. There was a dead small blind on the hand.

When action moved back to Ettedgi, he reraised and was all in. Rice then called and was all in for less. Cochrane called the all-in bets and had more than both players. Here's what they held.

Cochrane: {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{6-Spades}
Ettedgi: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}
Rice: {8-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{2-Clubs}

The board ran out {K-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{4-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} and Rice made quad fours with his hand. He was all in for 13,200 total preflop and tripled up. Ettedgi was scooped out of the tournament as Cochrane won the side pot.

Flicked Out of Here by MacPhee

Pot-Limit Omaha

Mark Davis checked the board of {K-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{8-Spades}{A-Spades} to Charles Flicker. He fired all in and then Kevin MacPhee was next up. MacPhee raised all in and then Davis pounded the table and mucked his cards, leaving the other two to do battle.

Flicker held the {J-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} for the current nuts and MacPhee held the {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{5-Hearts}.

The river was the {Q-Diamonds} and paired the board for MacPhee, giving him a full house and sending Flicker to the rail. MacPhee moved up to 72,000 in chips.

Can't Hang On

Pot-Limit Omaha

After a flop of {q-Clubs}{4-Spades}{3-Clubs}, Tam Hang moved all in and was called by Gavin Cochrane.

Hang: {q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{7-Clubs}
Cochrane: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{7-Hearts}

The turn brought no help to Hang when the {j-Diamonds} fell and the {10-Hearts} on the river did nothing for him either.

Cochrane is sitting behind a 42,000 stack.
