Richardson Takes a Small One on the River

Scott Montgomery had limped from the small blind, but Adam Richardson wasn't about to let him see a flop on the cheap. He raised it to 130,000 and got a call from Montgomery.

The players checked to the river and we had a board reading {8-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{a-Spades}{10-Diamonds}. At this time Richardson bet 400,000 and Montgomery folded. He's now taken a few very small pots from Montgomery this level. Mind you, it could also be argued that there are no small pots with nobody over 40 big blinds.

Richardson Rivers Straight

Mick Carlson raised to 170,000 from the button and was called by Adam Richardson in the big blind. Richardson check-called Calrson's bet of 170,000 on the {10-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{k-Hearts} flop. Both players would go on to check the {k-Spades} on the turn as well as the {q-Clubs} on the river.

When betting (or checking) was done, Richardson showed {j-}{9-} for a straight and Carlson mucked.
