Sands Up in Tournament, Down in Props

David Sands was recently all in preflop against one opponent and had some sweating to do with his {q-Clubs}{q-Spades} up against his opponent's {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}.

The board ran out {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{j-Clubs}{3-Clubs} and Sands was back up to 5,500.

On the very next hand the player under the gun raised to 225 and a player in middle position called. Sands responded with a three-bet to 825 from the cutoff and Tim West four-bet for 2,575 from the small blind. Action was folded around to Sands who moved all in with West calling.

Sands: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}
West: {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}

The two ended up chopping as the board ran out {q-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{2-Hearts}. However, even with the chop, West ended up ahead. It turns out West and Sands have prop bets on the board. West had red jacks and fours, which he hit. That win pocketed him $60.
