Griffin Slips Before Break

Just before we went to break Michael Mizrachi had raised to 125 from the under the gun when a player in middle position jammed for 1,675. Gavin Griffin made the call from over in the big blind, which caused Mizrachi to remark, "If you're gonna do it, I'm not."

Griffin turned over {a-Spades}{q-Hearts} and said, "This is how you play ace-queen."

When his opponent turned up {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}, Griffin finished his thought by adding, "You run into ace-king."

Big slick held up when the board came {4-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{7-Hearts}{6-Clubs} and Griffin is down to 3,400.
