Svetlana Takes the Lead

We've yet to do an official survey of the field, but after this last hand we are confidant that Svetlana Gromenkova is our chipleader.

Gromenkova raised to 800 from the cutoff and was re-raised to 2,200 by Mark Harris, who was sitting in the small blind. Gromenkova thought for a moment and made the call.

The players checked all the way through to the river until we had a board reading {8-Spades}{k-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{3-Spades} at which time Harris checked and Gromenkova bet 4,000. Harris thought for a moment before making the call.

Gromenkova turned over {4-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for a straight and Harris mucked his {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} face up, stood and left the room. He wasn't eliminated, but he probably needed to cool down.

At our count, Gromenkova is up to 57,000 chips.
