Lewis Back From Break On a High Note

On one of the last hands before leaving for break, Luther Lewis limped from middle position with the big blind being the only other player looking for a cheap flop. The flop they got was {3-Clubs}{k-Spades}{4-Diamonds} and the big blind check-called a 10,000 chip bet from Lewis.

The big blind checked once more when when the {6-Clubs} came on the turn and Lewis bet 30,000, at which time the big blind raised to 60,000. Lewis called and when the river came {a-Spades} the big blind announced he was all in.

A call from Lewis would put his tournament life at risk, as the big blind had him covered. "I really don't think I can get away from this," said Lewis before finally making the call.

Lewis showed {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} while his opponent had a lower set with {3-Diamonds}{3-Spades}. The double up put Lewis up to 330,000.
