Nines Good for Richardson

Adam Richardson opened the pot in early position with a 65,000-chip raise and was called by Mick Carlson in the big blind.

The flop spread {8-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{8-Hearts} and both players checked. The turn card was a {q-Clubs} and Carlson fired a 81,000-chip bet, Richardson called.

The river brought a {3-Hearts} to the table and both players checked again. Carlson tabled {k-}{j-Spades} and Richardson showed a pair of nines. Nines good and Richardson took the pot.
