Noah Building

With 12,000 in the middle and the flop having come {K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}, Team PokerStars Pro Noah Boeken bet 5,700 and his opponent called. Both checked the {8-Diamonds} turn. The river then brought another red card -- the {J-Hearts}. Boeken pushed out a bet of 10,000, and got the call.

Boeken showed {Q-Clubs}{9-Spades} and his opponent mucked. He moves up to 186,000 as we approach the end of the level and the dinner break.

The Mouth and Minnullin Are Duelin'

Mike Matusow
Mike Matusow

Mike Matusow opened with a raise to 5,100 from middle position, and it folded to Albert Minnullin who called from the button. The blinds got out, and the flop came {4-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{4-Clubs}. Matusow bet 8,400, and Minnullin called. Both players then checked the {7-Clubs} turn.

The river was the {J-Clubs}. Matusow checked, and Minnullin took about 30 seconds before pushing out a bet of 16,400. Matusow considered for just a moment, then tossed out the chips to call.

Minnullin flipped over {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts} for a flush, and Matusow sat silently for several seconds before finally mucking his cards. He's down to 32,000 now, while Minnullin is up to 130,000.

Noah Boeken

With about 10,000 in the middle and the board showing {Q-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}, Daniel Smith bet 8,200, and Noah Boeken called. Both players then checked the {Q-Hearts} turn.

The river was the {6-Spades}. Smith checked, and Boeken thought a beat and checked as well. Smith showed {K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}, while Boeken had {10-Spades}{8-Spades}. Boeken's hand was best, and he moves to 84,000. Smith is still riding high with 312,000.

Know Thy Opponent

On a {K-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{10-Spades} flop, J.J. Liu led out for 3,000. Mikael Thuritz raised to 11,000 and Liu called. The turn came the {7-Hearts} and Liu checked to Thuritz, who bet 18,000. Liu re-potted all-in for about 60,000 and Thuritz released his hand like the cards were on fire.

Liu flashed an ace and raked in the pot, her stack up to 110,000.
