Aggression Pays for Kabrhel

A player under the gun opened to 500, and Martin Kabrhel raised to 1,500. Arnaud Mattern flat called, and it folded back to the original raiser. He four-bet shoved for 6,000, and Kabrhel refused to back down. Instead, he reshoved for a total of 24,000. Mattern had 22,000 left and folded rather than call all in with what he tells us were pocket queens. He was kicking himself when the all-in player showed a pair of nines and Kabrhel showed {a-}{3-}. But Mattern felt less badly about it when Kabrhel spiked an ace to scoop the pot and move up to 35,000.
