Chomping at the Chip(s)

One player opened to 1,050, and the small blind called. Humberto Brenes bumped it up to 8,000, and the original raiser moved all in. The small blind got out of the way, and Brenes called with {q-Hearts}{q-Spades} to race the other player's {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}. The board came {q-Clubs}{9-Spades}{8-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}, and Brenes took out his opponent. He was up to 51,000 then, and a few hands later had 60,000. "The shark is hungry," he told us.
